Montana de Oro

California hiking is amazing, especially at Montana de Oro! We traveled north of San Luis Obispo about 12 miles along the PCH back to the coastline. Imagine a coastline lined with beautiful rugged cliffs, coastal plains, secluded sandy beaches, grassy canyons and hills! It is heavenly and enchanting! The park is a huge area to explore with many worn trails, a few campgrounds, and just satiated with natural beauty! We hiked the 1,347 Valencia Peak, following a 2 mile trail in the hills overlooking the ocean. The crashing roar of the ocean was captivating in such a quiet and secluded space. The views along the trail and at the peak were purely delicious. I have always wanted to hike along a path on the peaks of mountains or hills, and we did! The vastness of the ocean and the depths of the hills that were surrounding us were so invigorating! We are so thankful for the ability to enjoy and experience more of the beautiful earth created by the hand of our Great God and Father!
